'Pailis' Occasional Tables

This project was a concept design presented as part of a proposal for an accent collection. I was tasked to create these tables quickly and given the freedom to design them as I saw fit, provided they appeared "round, geometric, and abstract."

To achieve the general look, I used a built-in Voronoi algorithm within the Grasshopper3D plugin (part of Rhino3D now) and adjusted based on given dimensions for an End Table, Chairside Table, and Cocktail Table. There were several more images created for this series but, as one might expect, they all kind of look the same!

Designed and modeled in Grasshopper3D, exported into 3DS Max and rendered with V-Ray, minimally edited in Photoshop.
